THE CLIENTS ARE PIONEERS IN design, installation & maintenance of air- conditioning and refrigeration units in the marine & offshore industry.
MARINE HVAC DESIGN ENGINEER - SINGAPORE
Main Purpose of Role:
To facilitate and execute MARINE HVAC design & drawings to meet Company and customer requirements, error free and to the requirements of associated standards and Company procedures, ensuring the timely issue of drawings and documentation.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
o Prepare HVAC system design, heatload calculation and estimation of deliverables in a project.
o Prepare details of technical offers (HVAC package solutions).
o Attend technical meetings with clients and be able to provide input and support throughout the client interaction.
o Prepare detailed HVAC designs during the project execution stage, arrange and prepare drawings and deliverable documents.
o Prepare technical submittal for client’s approval.
o Prepare technical and project documentation for final submission to client.
o Provide support on commissioning and testing if required.
o Liaise with colleagues within the Singapore business and wider Group to resolve technical or other queries as appropriate.
o Provide general support and assistance to other members of the team as required.
Person Specification/Profile
• Academic & Other Requirements:
o Sound educational background required; Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma.
o 3-4 years experience in HVAC system design; exposure to Offshore Marine industry.
o Knowledge of Autocad, detail engineering, drawings of HVAC system (D&ID, P&ID, equipment layout) is essential.
o Good presentation and communication skills. Comfortable in communicating complex and technical.
o Resilient individual who can work through difficult problems, and develop strategies to improve the situation and avoid repeat scenarios.
o Self-starter who can work on his/her own initiative, capable of balancing a demanding workload through effective prioritisation and completing work requirements quickly and accurately.
o Strong IT skills, with particular competence in the use of MS Office software, training will be provided on Company-specific software systems.
o Flexible approach and strong team working capabilities, prepared to support colleagues in the achievement of Company priorities and objectives.
• Willingness and aptitude to continue personal development activities, developing technical awareness and product/application knowledge.
• Familiar with classification and marine regulatory codes, marine plant processes, controls and automation, and piping and instrumentation, international standards applicable to marine engineering, etc
